At the seminar, the two professors  shared their knowledge and practical experiences of farmers’ acceptance of new agricultural practices, and evaluated the position of Vietnam in  the areas of rural development and international agriculture. Lecturers and students participating in the seminar then discussed the presented contents.

\r\n

After the seminar, the delegation from the University of Western Australia talked with the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development about opportunities for cooperation in education and scientific research. Prof. Dr. David Pannell highly appreciated the cooperation of VNUA and Faculty of Economics and Rural Development in recent years. He hoped the two sides would have more specific and comprehensive cooperative activities in the future. In addition, the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development and representatives from the Faculty of Agriculture and Resource Economics at University of Western Australia  generally concluded to promote cooperation through strengthening student exchanges, training to enhance capacity for lecturers in Australia, inviting lecturers from the University of Western Australia to teach students at VNUA, organizing international conferences, and implementing joint research on agricultural and rural development.

The seminar and talk were successful and promised more cooperation between the two universities in the near future.
